Custom CSS img selectors are ignored

I wanted to display all images in books maximized relative to the display width. I have tried a lot of css patterns but all didn't work. What are the available solutions for this? Thanks

Moreover double click or click and hold over an image don't open the image file in a maximized state.

I have the same issue, while trying to combat the inverted image problems in night mode as described in #575 and #611 via css invert filter and mix-blend-mode 🫤
