Bug: black zones as rectangles appear when reading PDFs

Open moshpirit opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

For few months I've been seeing black rectangles appearing in the PDFs

Here are some screenshots using the same PDF and most of them with the same pages:

As you can see, the rectangles change their position and form from view to view and it's really annoying. I'm very surprised no one reported this already.

Librera PRO (F-droid) v. 8.4.44-fdroid on Android 10 with "Book view" and I use dark mode with my phone but light theme on Librera. Feel free to ask for more info

Could you please test with a new build beta.librera.mobi ?

I did, and it happens with the new version too, with and without importing my settings. I noticed though that it only happens with the dark theme on Android and the scroll mode. It did not happen with either Android's white theme or book mode or musician mode, nor dark mode on Librera. So it seems like it's just a refresh problem that has to do with how the app deals with using a white theme when Android says dark, and it has to load a PDF faster than what it does with the other 2 reading modes (book and musician).

I have the same problem with any version after 8.3.135.
