Looking to contribute to Pluto.jl: Improving onboarding and installation experience
Hi everyone,
I've been using Pluto.jl and I really love the reactive notebook philosophy. I am looking for ways to contribute to the project to help it grow and reach more users.
Recently, I've been thinking about the "new user experience" and the friction of installation. I considered building a custom installer or a launcher script, but before I go down a rabbit hole, I want to ask the community:
What are the current priorities regarding Pluto's distribution and onboarding?
My background is in Mathematics and Data Science, but I also have experience with Linux server administration and scripting.
Is there a specific project or "pain point" where I could help? For example:
Improving the Pluto Desktop packaging?
Creating better "getting started" scripts for workshops?
Testing/improving the VS Code integration?
Thanks for your guidance!
Hey @gruumsh1, really nice to hear! Indeed this is a super important topic, and the project is at a phase where documentation and onboarding is the most valuable work.
I would definitely be interested to collaborate! @ariguib is also working on similar topics. How would you feel about a call to discuss ideas? How about Dec 1 at 16:00 or 17:00 CET? [email protected]
Of course, I just can't speak English. I can write and understand it, but I'm not fluent in conversation yet. [email protected] , @ariguib

Okay! In that case you prefer to communicate with email or github, right? No problem!
If you'll allow me, I agree. Email is perfect, but I would like to participate in Pluto.pl.
