Could not resolve Note Model when trying to generate Cloze

Open orsenthil opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

I get an error "Could not resolve Note Model" when I try to generate Cloze from a selection.

What am I doing wrong?

Could it be that you don't have a note type called 'Cloze'? You can set the name of your Cloze note type and the field where the clozed text should go in the add-on's settings (the settings managed by Anki under Tools). pdf.clozegen.notetype and pdf.clozegen.field.clozedtext

Thank you, @fonol I will try that!

Hi there @fonol! First of all, Thanks for your work! I'm new using your complement for Anki, and I'm having the same issue as @orsenthil was having with the Clozes. I tried to do a note type called Cloze, but it still doesn't work. Could be a language problem because I have Anki installed on Spanish? Something to do with the folders? Or what I'm doing wrong? Probably it could be the most stupid thing, but I'm lost. Thanks for your time.

Hi @itorgon, do you also get the "Could not resolve Note Model" message? Have you maybe tried putting the name and text field of your cloze note type in the config fields I mentioned in the second post?

@fonol Hi there amigo I tried several times with diferent names inside the options, and didn't work, sometimes I was having that message, other times nothing was showing up. So I went crazy and I burned my laptop haha no, I tried the stupidest thing to do that was deleting the other "profiles" that I wasn't using anymore and switching the language from Spanish to English, and believe it or not, it started working haha! Regards and thank you!!!!

That's still unsatisfactory for me because it should work in theory, but good to hear that it now works for you.
