Maintainer passed away, donation button still active

The original maintainer Niklas Fondberg sadly passed away in June 2022, as stated on his buy me a coffee page (also confirmed by a funeral notice through google search).

I propose to remove the original buy me a coffee link/ to update it to the new maintainers. The website offered me a refund because I only noticed afterwards.

Since the maintainer has deceased, what does that mean for the project moving forward as far as this repository? Will it be forked to a new official repository?

Still a bit shocked by the news. I do have write access to the repo, but no admin right. I was thinking of transitioning it to my profile eventually since I didn't have any news from Niklas. Now I understand why.

My condolences to @fondberg friends and family. Niklas took me in a project and gave me the chance to do open source maintenance. This was my first open source project I contributed to instead of doing alone in my corner and it gave me the confidence to pursue software development as a more integral part of my job.
