zen-mode breaks `hi Search` highlighting of word under cursor

I find that, inside of zen-mode, the word under the cursor is never highlighted with hi Search. Once the cursor is outside of it, it will again be highlighted.

I've tried various combinations of zen-mode window.options, but haven't found any that will unbreak hi Search.

I'm using NVIM v0.9.0-dev.
