I don't know what normal procedures in which one would be able to use a plain-text display of a base64-encoded embedded image, but this output is not helpful in what I'm trying to do and opustags didn't responding to SIGINT.
Can this be either normally suppressed (only displayed with a flag) such that the output of METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE is either something like

The reason I went to look at this with opustags is because mediainfo reported the following:

When embedding a large image (cover art) using tools like opusenc, the image goes into a METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE tag. If the image is too large, the entire tag might land in one Ogg page that exceeds the max Ogg page size (~582,942 bytes). The spec says that’s non-compliant.
opusenc (from opus-tools) splits pages properly, but only if the input is correct size. It doesn't chunk the METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE — it either fits or it doesn't.
So (and this might need a separate FR) perhaps opustags could send a WARNING and request confirmation of embedding an image over the maximum specified page size prior to embedding it? From this further information, it appears that this is more of a guideline than it is a hard and fast failing error (and thus I'd rather have the flexibility of being able to embed something that'll work in most instances rather than have it be rejected out of hand):

I don't know if the explanation is AI garbage or not; the error from mediainfo is absolutely not AI garbage, it's an error from mediainfo.... so if chatgpt is incorrect in the explanation then what does the error from mediainfo represent? Bringing the image file size down did eliminate it.
I asked about this on the mediainfo git and it appears that your'e right, the explanation that ChatGPT gave about page size does appear not to be based in fact (i.e., garbage).
WRT to the conformance error on large images attached to .opus files:
MediaInfoLib - v25.04.20250515 fixes that issue. Further, it also addresses the suppression of tags based on the order of attaching tags/image (i.e., the position of METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE relative to other text-based tags.)
Beyond that, information on the embedded image in METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE is now displayed in the default mediainfo output similar to that of any other image.

So that's more convenient when dealing with opus files.
It would still be nice to be able to use opustags to view the tags of a file with an embedded image without the base64 image encoding flooding the screen. While not primarily its job, it is sometimes useful to be able to.
As a workaround, opustags <file.opus> |more does ameliorate the problem.
