Feature request: web search & save replies or sessions as document
This feature request proposes integrating web search capabilities directly into Hollama, alongside the ability to generate and export responses as documents in various standard formats (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, etc.). This would significantly enhance the utility and value of Hollama for users seeking comprehensive and readily accessible information.
Detailed Description:
Currently, Hollama’s responses are primarily based on its internal knowledge base. While this is a strong foundation, expanding its capabilities to include real-time web search would dramatically improve the accuracy, timeliness, and depth of its answers. Users would benefit from:
Real-Time Web Search Integration: Allow Hollama to query external search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo – configurable by the user?) to retrieve relevant information alongside its generated response. This would be particularly useful for questions requiring up-to-date data, news, or diverse perspectives.
Source Citation: Crucially, the integrated search results should be clearly cited, allowing users to verify the information and explore the original sources.
Document Generation: Enable users to export Hollama’s responses as: PDF: For easy sharing and archiving. DOCX (Microsoft Word): For editing and further formatting. XLSX (Microsoft Excel): For presenting data in a tabular format. Other common Mime Types: Consider supporting formats like ODT (LibreOffice Writer), HTML, and potentially others based on user demand.
