Implementation note: "share" as well as "open" intent should be supported.
Could reproduce this issue, but only old "NewMap" is affacted. Does not happen on CgeoMap (old GMap) or unified map.
I was hoping I could provide a fix, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it working. But as written above, it will get obsolete with unified map...
Driving mode is still only supported for mapsforge/VTM which seems pretty inconsistent thinking about we want to unify our maps... 😅
It may be possible to calculate the adjusted map position by ourselves. This would even allow to use the same implementation for Google and Mapsforge. Not sure if this would...
How do regular browsers on android behave? Possibly it's a general problem on android independent of the app...

This bug was annoying enough that I filed a Pull Request (#2672). Let's keep fingers cross that the PR gets accepted, and a new version is released soon.
