Monkey Island 2 - LeChuck's Revenge (Ultimate Talkie Edition) : Dialogue & Gameplay stops/music loops

Issue When playing the game, and engaging with an NPC shortly after the start of the game, the npc's dialogue cuts out and the MT-32 music continues to play on loop indefinitely. The NPC and player actions stop animating and the game appears frozen despite the music still playing.

Reproduce

  1. Start the game with an MT32-pi device plugged in (see settings below)
  2. Select 'All the puzzles' gameplay option, and let the intro sequences play through
  3. Once you have control of Guybrush Threepwood, walk across the rope bridge and confront the first interactive NPC
  4. Select the first dialogue option '...Is this some sort of a bribe situation?'
  5. Once selected, the NPC will begin to talk but their dialogue gets cut out midway through talking while their animation continues to play through. The background music will continue to play through normally on loop.

Game Settings Option 3 = Ultimate Talkie Edition (MT-32 auto-selected/activated when present)
