Audio skipping in Sega Rally 2 (JP 1.04)

Windows 10 (22H2)/ i7 - 8700K/ GTX 1080Ti

Still active as of: v2.5-187-g339d288df (2025-11-14)

Not sure if strictly related to sound, but, at times, the commentary/guidance provided by the co-pilot will skip/cut-off. Disabling Multi-Threaded Emulation doesn't seem to make a difference.

What format is your game image? GDI?

Extract flycast.zip from CI Builds 339d288(2025-11-14) into a new folder and try launching the game without changing any settings.

Will there be any sound issues if I turn off the background music and sound effects in the in-game sound settings options and play the game with only the co-driver's voice?
