abnormal zoom when zooming in certain areas

Describe the bug

To Reproduce
not 100% reprducible afaict, see video

Expected behavior
current pointer position should be "center" of zoom

I think this might be related to, if not the same as, #885. I don't see the scrolling I described in that issue, but that might also be related to longer documents, and the issue might be the same.

Adding this just so there is more context to the issue :)
