Windows cannot be resized

Open mrondr opened this issue 4 months ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug
Sometimes I can't resize the rnote windows by dragging the corners or sides.

To Reproduce
I still am trying to figure out what conditions are true when this happens. I feel it it is somehow related to hibernating when an rnote window is open but this is just a vague intuition. Sometimes this also happens after loading a file with no other rnote window open. When this happens, I can't resize neither with a mouse nor with the touchscreen. The only option is to close rnote and open it again.

Expected behavior
The rnote window is resizeable.

Console Output
I am on windows on a surface pro 8 and did not install rnote through flatpak so this is the output (translated from my main language): flatpak : Term 'flatpak' not recognized as name of cmdlet, function, executable program, or script file. Anything I can run on windows please let me know.

Screenshots
Not really applicable: the two sided arrow pointer appears as it should but I cannot resize the window in some occasions.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Windows 11 25H2 (but this also happened before the update)
  • App Version: Rnote v0.13.1 (but this was also happening on v0.10.? I was using before I tried updating to see if it fixed the issue)
  • Installation Source: github release
  • Desktop Environment: not applicable?
  • Display Server: not applicable?
  • Input Source: Mouse and keyboard, touchscreen

I'm also having this issue. Its specific to when my Windows desktop is in "tablet mode".

I'm using a convertible laptop and I can still resize windows when the keyboard is open. But when fold the keyboard used back and Windows adjusts the UI to make everything more touch friendly, I no longer can.

  • Windows 11 Pro 23H2
  • v0.13.1 (but also happened on v0.10.1) (all other info is the same)
