Holding stylus secondary button pans canvas when hovering

Open awu7 opened this issue 6 months ago • 3 comments

When I hold down the secondary button and hover my stylus above the screen without touching it, moving the stylus pans the canvas. When pressing down, select works as expected without any panning.

I believe this is due to the secondary button on the stylus being bound to middle click.

I am using the Lenovo Digital Pen 2 and my OS is Linux Mint.

Does this happen only with rnote or other applications ?

I just stumbled upon the same issue. I'm using "One by wacom" on Arch Linux. It also pans in evince for example, but in xournalpp for example this does not happen.

Just chiming in here to say that this is one of the first things I noticed when trying rnote with the One by Wacom pen tablet. I assumed it was an intended function, and I quite like it. However, releasing the secondary button does not forfeit the temporary selection mode. The pen needs to be tapped to dismiss it.

Unbinding button 2 from middle click in KDE spoofs some other button. Changing it to right click duplicates the eraser function to button 2.
