Delay when switching tools

Describe the bug
Whenever I switch tools while using rnote there is a 2-3 second delay before the tool and settings menu actualyl switches

To Reproduce
Open rnote click on a tool not currently selected delay

Expected behavior
rnote to switch tools responsively without needing to wait

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Win 11
  • Hardware: Zephyrus g16 4070 16gb
  • App Version: Rnote v0.11.0
  • Installation Source: Github repo
  • Input Source: Keyboard, Wacom drawing tablet, touchpad

So nothing happens for some time and then the tool switches/animation occurs ?

Can you send a video ?

This might be a little weird, but I'm closing this one in favor of #1423 which has found out some of the conditions that trigger the bug
