[proposal] option to hot reload when switching branches

Steps to Reproduce

Please tell us what you were doing and what went wrong

  1. Having my chrome instance open.
  2. Switching branches.
  3. The instance doesn't hot reload when switching branches and you have to manually hot-reload.
