Discusess Where to Put the Fluent Operator Docs

Open Bettygogo2021 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Hi, folks. I have prepared the first version of Fluent Operator Docs. As we discussed before, we would contribute the docs to the Fluent community (https://github.com/fluent/fluent-bit-docs). But I am wondering where should I put Fluent Operator Docs? Here is my suggestion, and pls let me know whether this is feasible:

  1. In <fluentd-and-fluent-bit.md>, i add description of Fluent Operator and then add a link of the Fluent Operator docs.
  2. Below the Stream Process section, i add the Fluent Operator section, as shown in the following figure. image

For any other suggestion, pls kindly inform me.

Hey @Bettygogo2021,

I'm pretty new to these things but thought I'd give my 2 cents while we wait for the maintainers. The stream processing folder is reserved for the steaming subsystem which allows you to query data streams with SQL.

My understanding of the Fluent Operator is that it's a software extension to Kubernetes. Perhaps it deserves its own folder? Alternatively I would put it in the installation folder as that's where all the other deployment methods seem to be documented.
