Suggestions dont respect capital letters state
Every time Ive used a suggestion at the start of a sentence or for the name of something it has removed the capital letter at the start.
On another note, quick question about the dictionary. Are we going to be able to save words to be used in the future like a lot of other apps can? For example, using shorthand or slang words?

I am aware that the caps state is pretty much ignored currently, this has been done because otherwise the prediction algorithm in its current state would not have worked. Future versions will include support for this.

Yes, definitely! Probably in phase 3 of the suggestions implementation.
Hey Patrick. I want to add something else Ive come across recently. I was signing up for a site and when filling out my name, it didnt automatically capitalize the first letter and yet when I got to the field for my email address, it did automatically capitalize the letter.

The suggestions or the keyboard in general? The suggestions are known to have this flaw currently and will continue to have it in the ńext few betas. As for the keyboard in general, PR #734 is the current layout engine/logic rework, so in the next beta the auto-capitalization will be updated alongside with pretty much anything of the input logic (may or may not fix the bug). Note though that the app/website can tell FlorisBoard to capitalize/not capitalize and FlorisBoard will do it accordingly - do other keyboards behave differently (and correct in your opinion or also like FlorisBoard?)
Its the keyboard in general but I didnt think it required another bug being opened so I thought I would add it here. Ive been using Florisboard for months now so Im not entirely sure but I think others usually get it correct.

I've seen other keyboards capitalize the first letter in email address input fields. I'd consider that a bug in the keyboard unless the page/app is causing the capitalization.
