Don't show "left key pressed" when holding left key (or right)
Short description
Too often, the text box is right above the keyboard, so displaying the "left key pressed" pop-up text covers the text in the text box, making it hard to see where the caret is.
Given the point of pressing left is essentially to move the caret to a precise location in the text box, this seems counter productive :)
Happens for both left and right keys.
Steps to reproduce
- Type some text in a text box
- Hold down left arrow to move the caret back in the typed text
- "Left key pressed" pops up, covering the text you are trying to move in
- Be annoyed, as now you can't see where the caret is :)

I get your point but the tooltip is an accessibility tool which describes what the button does, unluckily both the move cursor often and show tooltip are triggered by long pressing the action...
Hmm, good point. Well I suppose one option would be to show the tooltip below rather than above, as that wouldn't hide anything useful when the tooltip is being shown.
I have the same problem. I understand tooltips are for accessibility, but I think you should not include them on buttons that are very often long-pressed (for auto-repeat purposes). For example, long-pressing backspace so that it auto-repeats does not bring up a tooltip (which is good), and I think the same should happen on the cursor keys.
Just noticed that this is probably a duplicate of #2095
