Added workers to increase the speed of reading from the queue.

Thanks for your contribution. Without further context it is hard to make a good judgement on the PR. Is there a specific problem you want to address or run into? Did you profile and investigate the problem or can provide benchmarks? Currently it is up to the user to scale according to their needs with the HookFunc they provide. What prevents you from scaling in your costum HookFunc?
