Hey Johann, Just worries like if we enable https secure on switch, it would allow one more access layer to get switch access over https ? Curious if there is way to restrict in production ? Also as you have focused on RESTCONF+YANG, thoughts to get connectivity and data using NETCONF or SSH by default ?

Hey and sorry about my late reply!

You are raising a good point for users who are not using at all the webUI on individual devices. As of now I focused on RESTCONF only to leverage the simple RESTful communication. It would be possible to change johann to use NETCONF or add this feature: New functions to get the data via NETCONF needs to be added, the existing database-insertion functions can be used with a XML to JSON converter maybe (needs to be tested).
