Ad reappears after FacebookAds.hideBanner();

After calling FacebookAds.hideBanner(), ad reappears after a while on iOS (maybe within a few seconds to a minute). Is there any way to programmatically hide ads for the entire app session?

  • Android seems to work better. I've only seen this behavior on iOS.
  • This feels like it could be related to the ad-refresh-frequency that I once set in Facebook Audience Network, but having been switched over to Facebook Monetization Manager, I no longer can find that setting.
