Gas estimates cause "transaction underpriced" rejection.

On Polygon, the fee data updates dynamically, but accepting and signing the tx leads to "transaction under-priced" rejection and I have to blindly edit the gas price to something astronomical to make it go through. Obviously I'm refunded the difference, but the stress point is debilitating for smooth transactions. I often have to put through 2-4 times before it takes.
