[FEATURE REQUEST] Conditions (useful for more then 4 individual entities)

Open petzi0815 opened this issue 9 months ago • 4 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. There is a limitation of just 4 individual entities. How we this issue be solved?

Describe the solution you'd like Either more then 4 individual entities would be cool or conditions such as display entity 5 instead of entity 1 in case entity one power consumption below certain threshhold. (e.g. wallbox is not charging all the time but potentialy washing machine, heat pump etc. are running with high load,) This could make everything a little more dynamic and hide zero consumption individual entities as well and make then appear just in case there is a consumption.

Describe alternatives you've considered Creating a very custom sensor entity on my own where the naming changes dyamically based on the code and connected entities.

Additional context image

Wallbox and Heat Pump are idle and does not need to be displayed but high load is due to the fact that the tumble dryer is running

I would love to be able to add "unilimited" number of individual entities and show for example fourth most demanding

I know that there is a card_mod for other cards to color text based on conditions. What I have been doing is trying to put it within the code but apparently this does't work either although I don't get an error. Would love to have conditional individual entities.

Same for me, I added Shelly devices for my main consuming parts (Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Dryer, Oven, Pool) plus have existing ones like Wallbox, Heating, etc. So in total there are quite some high consumers, which means the 4 individual entities are not enough at all, I really like the plugin but it limits me.

Some ideas:

  • Either allow unlimited entities (question is how to display then)
  • As mentioned above, show entities based on conditions
  • What could work as well: Display always the 3 or 4 highest entities from an unlimited list and show "Others" which displays the sum of all other linked entities. Maybe one could click on others to show the rest then in a popup or so.
