Mangohud doesn't work in steam (OpenGL)
Out of steam work perfect MANGOHUD_CONFIG=full mangohud glxgears
work perfect
I thought I had something in common with the topic https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud/issues/369 but i don't think
in glxgears, worked:

Missing 32bit MangoHud? Wine flip-flops between 32/64bit versions when it starts up so can be a little confusing that it logs something. (ld.so should complain more though, probably :thinking: )
I got similar problem, MangoHud work for me only on games DX. Where i can find logs from steam games?
Would this be related to mangohud not showing on L4D2 on steam?
I can confirm, if I change games like L4D2 or HL2 to -vulkan they work. They somehow lose video signal for a couple of seconds, then comeback with vulkan inside the game, but they do show mangohud now. But if they stay in openGL they do not show mangohud at all.

OH!. Well is there a way to FORCE the LD_PRELOAD to have the value mangohud wants, of course, without breaking the game. Like inside the parameters or any other way without editing steam files?

The only way as far as I know is to edit the start script for the game. You could probably write a small script to sed the start script in launch options

Same here. All OpenGL games are not working outside and inside of steam. Used build.sh
Games I play: All Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1-3 games.
- make sure you have 32bit mangohud libs for 32bit games
- some games have a script that clears
LD_PRELOAD
, this is not fixable on our end - try using using
mangohud --dlsym
