add report broken button

Open damianatorrpm opened this issue 5 years ago • 6 comments

add report broken button on flathub since 50% of packages are broken: gydl, moonplayer, hardware-probe - the first packages I tried(ecxept vlc) - all broken, first 2 do start, but do not work at all, 3rd doesnt even start

The last runtime update had an issue that should be fixed soon.

That doesn't change the fact that an app maybe broken and I strongly doubt that the problem with above apps gas something to do with it

Please update and try again as that should be resolved.

If you still have issues you can search for the package here: https://github.com/flathub

I'll move this issue to the website repo for further discussion but I really don't think this is necessary.

So how is it that we report broken packages? I can't really work out, from the website (or even browsing github),where and how to report issues?

As an example - org.gnome.Sdk is failing to install and as a result com.google.AndroidStudio is uninstallable.

How do I know where and how to report this as a problem? It could be a flatpak issue directly (my laptop flaked out midinstall but left me in this state?). Where do I start?

There should be some plausible error reporting flow.

org.gnome.Sdk is failing to install

Without more details I'll assume it was a network issue on flathubs side.

@TingPing where would you like me to open the bug? I have the error...

I truly didn't mean to hijack THIS bug however :)
