[RFE] Archive old/unmaintained repos
Current situation
There are some repositories such as https://github.com/flatcar/torcx that are no longer maintained and should be archived.
Impact
With time the old and unmaintained repos will clutter our org as well as possibly confuse newcomers.
Ideal future situation
All to be archived/unmaintained repos should be written down and archived.
Implementation options
I can see 2 possible solutions:
- Simply use GitHubs archive option and archive the repos in place
- Move the repos to https://github.com/flatcar-archive and archive them there
List of to be archived repos so far (this list was compiled semi-automatically so it needs review): ~~- [ ] https://github.com/flatcar/torcx~~ ~~- [ ] https://github.com/flatcar/sysroot-wrappers~~ ~~- [ ] https://github.com/flatcar/go-omaha~~
- [ ] https://github.com/flatcar/sdnotify-proxy
sysroot-wrappers is used by the still-maintained previous LTS. It is very unlikely we would make any further changes, but it is sensible to keep it around until that LTS goes away in a few months.

Same goes for Torcx.
Thanks for confirming that guys! Any ideas about go-omaha and sdnotify-proxy?
I am playing with go-omaha, can update it or send PRs if wanted.
In september the LTS versions that use some of those old repos will not be supported, this is a good time to go back to trying to archive deprecated repos
Should https://github.com/flatcar/go-omaha be archived? This seems to still be heavily utilized by Nebraska?

Yep, it shouldn't
