Current situation The Flatcar infrastructure consists of multiple (caching) servers for the release artifacts and Nebraska behind load balancers. Which IP addresses are used in which region needs to be found out by trial and error. When and if they change is also not written somewhere.

Impact This makes writing firewall rules difficult and they can fail any minute because there is no announcement of changes.

Ideal future situation A public status page gives an overview about current infrastructure (IP addresses, signing keys etc) and has a section for announcements. The status page also serves JSON so that scripts can process the data.
