Error uploading image to Imgur: "client read error"

While trying to upload an image to Imgur using Flameshot, I encountered the following error:

Error transferring https://api.imgur.com/3/image?title=&description=2025-05-05_16-11 - server replied: client read error

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Take a screenshot using Flameshot.

2. Use the Imgur upload feature.

3. Wait for the upload attempt.

Environment:

Flameshot Version: [e.g. 12.1.0]

OS: [ Windows 11]

Network: [standard home network]

Internet connection: Stable

I get this problem ALL the time for like 6+ months its broken more often than it works.. sometimes it will start working again but flameshot really needs to be able to configure multiple upload sites beside imgur. I keep having to save to a file and attach or send the picture.

flameshot really needs to be able to configure multiple upload sites beside imgur.

It have been discussed before numerous times, and the ultimate decision was to only allow this through a plugin system. I think even the imgur will be removed from the core Flameshot and will be available as a plugin. If you want to see what features have been suggested and give them a thumbs up, filter the issues based on the label "Plugin": https://github.com/flameshot-org/flameshot/labels/Plugin
