macOS flameshot distorts selection area on laptop display after a second monitor has been connected

Open zabda opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Description

If a screenshot is taken (command + shift + x ) after a second screen (2k) has been attached to the MacBook, the selection area is distorted.

This is what it looks like when you attempt to take a screenshot, notice that 75% of the display is missing. (it has zoomed in to the top left) 258A5BDA-1C50-4155-94E9-7BF292210B63_1_102_o

This is the actual full display. (for the sake of comparison) 89B47B66-C8F1-4BD3-AC6C-B2B683C7D8A0_1_102_o

Environment

❯ sw_vers ProductName: macOS ProductVersion: 13.5.2 BuildVersion: 22G91

==> flameshot: 12.1.0

Workaround

Terminate the flameshot application service in Activity Monitor, and re-open flameshot (start a new process)

Same problem. Workaround also works

I noticed that it happens after connecting an external monitor. Or in case I was working with an external monitor, I get this problem after disconnecting the monitor and reconnecting it again
