I'd love to see an implementation of this. Frequently I come back to CIRC and am unsure whether I'm connected or not. It's especially important as, living in Cambodia, the net connection can be a bit flaky.

How can I upvote this issue or say "mee too"? Another issue proposes some "system power API" to maintain connections, https://github.com/flackr/circ/issues/283. Though it is very nebolous what they mean, it seems that they propose the solution for this issue.
