Request to fork and publish a new version of this package

Hello there 👋 I'm on a team that uses this plugin and would like to make some pretty significant changes to it, including:

• Migrating the package to Typescript
• Updating the package for newer Hapi versions
• Upgrading the package to a newer Node version (at least LTS, at the time of writing 18)
• Fixing some of the existing issues

I don't want to step on anyones toes, though, so I wanted to reach out first to ask - are there plans to continue maintaining this project? If not I'd like to offer to do so.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out, I have no plan personally to continue maintaining it. However I'm open to adding someone as contributor. What would be more convenient for you? Creating a fork & another npm package or maintaining this one?
