multiple listings in notes manager for one note

firefox 22.0 (also have nightly 07/01/13 build on same pc) windows 7 sp1. floatnotes 0.8.0.1 see screencap. added 1 note, one shows in manager - good. added a second - different URL - 5 identical lines for that one note in manager. capture nice tool btw.

I have a FF 22 on Gentoo that behaves the same way + when one clicks on the FloatNotes button on the toolbar to toggle notes visibility, the button disappears for that site and a FF restart is needed to start working (I guess this is bug #73 )

What I found out is that the bug appears when the AlertBox plugin is installed/enabled. When you disable that plugin all works as expected... So it should be some kind of interference...

@sgarratt , if you have that plugin try disabling it... If not try disabling (and re-enabling it after it has been tested) all plugins you have ONE BY ONE (restarting FF after every disable), so you can pinpoint the offending plugin. Have in mind that testing includes adding a new note... the old ones (trippled doubled etc) will stay the way they are.

For sure I can say that these plugins do not interfere (at least on my PC):

  • All in one gestures
  • Toolbar buttons

And to @fkling ... could you please investigate that AlertBox plugin if it does things that it should not... 'cause it is a very starnge interference... at least for me it is...

@fkling , just a small proposition for a feature that i think will not need a bug add here: Could you please make it so when the Notes Manager is opened the "All notes" entry at the left (or the first one listed) to be autoselected... Now we need to extra click there to get the notes...

After further testing now I cannot reproduce this multiple lines problem. What I did is:

  • Update the plugin to 0.8.0.1
  • Disable the AlertBox plugin
  • Removed the duplicate entries in NotesManager

Now I do not have this multiple listing problem.

But if I enable the AlertBox plugin I get the bug #73 (i.e. when clicking on the FloatNotes button in the toolbar it disappears for the selected tab and a FF restart is needed)
