Menu timeout not working

Haven't had time to address this...

Looks like the menu timeout isn't working properly in the current version

steps to reproduce: change to a 1st level menu item that isn't clock wait for timeout, no timeout happens... screen stays lit

however the internal menu counter seems to have reset to zero..

this will contribute to more burn in and is quite annoying

[additional] need to add the menu timeout to all levels of menu... should be a bit easier with the new menu code.
