We released a new version of the miner: https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak Please check if the issue still exists with the new version. If the problem is not fixed so far please open a new issue in the issue section of the new reposetory

My issue was due to low RAM on the server compiling the code. This issue can be closed from my side.

@gamafranco Can you elaborate? I have compiled it myself too. Got some small error when compiling, but looked innocent.

edit: Used pre-compiled version, still have the problem.

I got this issue when compiling on a linux computer with 512MB and no swap. The compiler was right, there was not enough memory to compile.

@gamafranco I think everyone else here is talking about this message "hwloc: memory pinned" at run time not at compile time I get it too at run time anyone else can suggest how to get rid of it? is it something that slows down the miner? what this message actually means? lots I questions I know :) any input would be appreciated thank you

What does "hwloc: memory pinned" even mean? I get that msg right before miner logs in to the pool. Having lots of problems trying to get vega 56 stable (non flashed).

it locks the ram reserved by the miner so windows won't attempt to page it to paging file. increases mining speed!
