Error CL_INVALID_BUFFFER_SIZE when calling clCreateBuffer to create hash scratchpads buffer.
So I get the following error after running the exe, "Error CL_INVALID_BUFFFER_SIZE when calling clCreateBuffer to create hash scratchpads buffer."
All I've done is insert the mining pool address, insert my wallet info, changed it to 1 gpu thread and deleted all but the first gup threads conf line which is currently
"{ "index" : 0, "intensity" : 400, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false },"
It's set to 400 intensity as I was just trying lower and lower numbers a hundred at a time thinking maybe ti was that.
The GPU is this https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b742/sapphire-hd-5770
Hmm I changed intensity to 64 and then it clears that, but then does the same thing that was happenining in this thread https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak-amd/issues/22
Hi, did you use the autoconfig feature (where the miner suggests a working configuration)?
@fireice-uk autoconfig is currently not implemented in the amd version. Maybe this is a task for me.
@ryancarlmercer The issue is solved in the current dev with #13. If you running linux you can compile the current dev branch else you need to wait for the next release.
@fireice-uk would wr try to release a new amd version within the next 2 weeks? This would give me some time to implement autoadjust.
@ryancarlmercer we are currently preparing a new release in #37 The new release should fix your issue.
@psychocrypt I am getting the same problem in 1.4.0 build.
Same problem on 2.1.0
Same problem on xmr-stak 2.2.0 c4400d19 GPU is AMD HD 4850
I couldn't get my cards to work with any XMR-stak, even the new version, but I was able to get Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v.9.6 Beta - POOL to work just fine. Running stable for the past month. Had to go down to 9.6 because the newer versions don't support my HD 6970s. At about 750h/s for 2 cards.
This miner doesn't work well with Radeon 5770.
