Error UNKNOWN_ERROR when calling clGetPlatformIDs for number of platforms

Hi There!

Got this error with new 17.40 drivers under ubuntu 16.04.3. The thing is if I run as root ie sudo ./bin/xmr-stak-amd it works just fine.

Maybe you need to change the rights of the device under /dev

Thanks that sounds right, but what are my device in the /dev... There no VGA, nor GPU ...
