Back/forward broken after using tab selector

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to https://share.firefox.dev/3DerpuE
2. Click on "Full Range" in the top left corner.
3. Click on "Proton VPN: Fast & Secure" in the dropdown list
4. Click the browser's back button.

Expected results:

You should be back in the previous view.

Actual results:

Nothing happens. Clicking back repeatedly doesn't do anything.
