Please support Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile

Open kaushalyap opened this issue 5 years ago • 7 comments

What feature would you like to see?

Firebase Android SDK which supports Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile

How would you use it?

This will allow to share Kotlin code with iOS.

Comments:

https://blog.jetbrains.com/kotlin/2020/08/kotlin-multiplatform-mobile-goes-alpha/, hopes it is the time to have official KMM support from Firebase team.

I couldn't figure out how to label this issue, so I've labeled it for a human to triage. Hang tight.

@kaushalyap while we wait for official Kotlin Multiplatform platform, you might want to have a look at this unofficial SDK: gitliveapp/firebase-kotlin-sdk.

Just wondering if there have been plans for this currently or in the future? Although the unofficial SDK is great, much of firebase functionality isn't supported yet. Hope there are plans to support kotlin multiplatform in the future.
