[FR] Add API for validating FCM tokens

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. There are often situations when you need to verify from which platform IOS or Android a specific registration token was received on server.

Describe the solution you'd like There is a google api for this, but is not included in either firebase-admin-node or googleapis SDK.

Describe alternatives you've considered An alternative solution would be to call the API directly via HTTP.

I found a few problems with this issue:

  • I couldn't figure out how to label this issue, so I've labeled it for a human to triage. Hang tight.

Thanks for the request. There was a similar request for the Python Admin SDK: https://github.com/firebase/firebase-admin-python/issues/204 The response posted there is still up-to-date.

If no objections, I'll leave this FR open to avoid duplicated FRs being created.

Do you maybe already have the information when this Identity ID API will be replaced with the new API (Firebase Installation Service and Firebase Registration Service)?
