No New Release Since 1 Year
This Repo is an Official Firebase UI library and it has not released any update for 1 year for SafetyNet and many more things.
Is this Repo Planning for releases in Future, Or do we consider this Repo as Deprecated and Not maintained now?
It's now been 1.5 years since the last release. Auth
- still uses deprecated SafetyNet (#2133)
- apparently can't be used with SDK34 (#2157)
- depends on an outdated Play Services library, leading to crashes if an up-to-date dependency is used (#2158).
Meanwhile, it is still suggested to use this library in official Firebase docs - although those suggest to use the even older version 7.2.0 of this library.
There seem to be some signs of life with commits to 8.1.0, 9.0.0 and 9.0.x dev branches of this repository, but I'd rather not try to interpret those. So, question to @thatfiredev - are there plans to release something soon that fixes some of the more pressing issues?
:+1: The Google Play Store is now requiring targeting SDK 34. This Google library is a blocker.
