Platform engineering operators Some folks may consider test/QA roles as non-developer Enterprise Architecture / Tech Debt Product Owners - access to metrics (quality, tech debt, operational, dev/DORA, business)

Mostly overlapping with data that is also important for development teams

• care taken to not expose material financial information (SOX) PII / MNPI

Aggregate rollup of data to higher level management functions

• tech debt
• quality
• cost metrics

Backstage as a platform to deliver non-developer (ie. security / ops) capabilities

Audit persona - access to aggregated or specific internal audit information

All of these use cases seem to fall under the umbrella of Engineering

Note, exposing capabilities via Backstage, especially developer-centric capabilities, should also be available via other methods (ie. APIs) to avoid creating a "click-ops" methodology.
