First Name and Full Name type limited by gender

Open hashbyhayter opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Feature Request

Description of Problem:

The first name and full name data types currently don't have a concept of gender. If your profile has a gender field it would be possible for the profile to output a row with the name Jeff who is a female, for example. This doesn't make sense for a real world data set so a way to limit the sets of names by gender would be required.

There are a few considerations here:

  • Gender can be neutral, i.e. someone can decide to not associate themselves with male or female as such this should be considered in the generated data. I.e. a 'gender' column should support Male/Female/Neutral
  • Some names transcend both genders, such as Sam
