My main blocker here is the search box for navigating the map. The lack of standard popovers and UITableView equivalents are making this a bit more work than I had intended.

Posting this comment in case a MacOS developer has more energy than I do!

Do you have the AppKit route in mind? It should work out of the box with Mac Catalyst (UIKit on macOS with an iPadOS interface to start), unless I'm missing some complexity.
