Indication of app name in menulet menu

When you click on the Hummingbird menulet, the only options are "Help…", "Preferences…", and "Quit" (plus a separator). There's no indication of what application the menulet is controlling, and I don't interact with the menulet enough to remember what it is by the icon.

It would be nice if there was some indication of what the application was directly in the menu. I've seen this handled by other applications in these ways:

  • an "About" item that includes the app name
  • an unselectable menu item with just the app name
  • having the "Quit" option include the app name

That’s a good point, thanks for raising it!

I actually used to have a greyed out “Hummingbird” menu item but “decluttered” it at some point. I think I like your suggestion to change “Quit” best 👍

FWIW, the Preferences window also has no indication of what the application is. Which means (given that Help is just a link to a web page) there is no mention of the app name anywhere in the app's UI.
