Description

The extension, when i click on it, it says it is outdated and I should update it in the about:addons page. When i go there, no updates are available for the extension. Installed version is 2.12.4 but should be 2.12.5

Environment

Firefox deb directly from Mozilla on Debian 12 Stable

  • Firefox version: Latest stable 130.0.1

The new version hasn't been approved yet. It should probably be available soon.

@filips123 any update on this?

Can't use any PWAs for days because of lack of update on store.

Tried to install from file, but my version of firefox refuses to allow me to. Even with the about:config setting

You need to install the native program manually. Just download the installer/package from here and install it.

The extension will say it's outdated, but you can ignore it until the new version is released.

I appreciate the response, but this seems to not have fixed the problem I'm having.

I had already updated the native half. All my PWAs are stuck on "New Tab" blank screen: image

Please try to also run "Patch profiles and runtime" from the extension settings.

That was the problem, thanks @filips123

Which OS do you use? And did it work before?

I have the same issue with the connector not being detected. Windows 11, was working fine prior to this version.

Please check in the Windows settings/control panel if you have multiple PWAsForFirefox versions listed. If so, uninstall them and install 2.12.5 again.

I initially did have multiple versions installed by accident, but I have tried uninstalling all of them and re-installing (both from .msi and via winget) and it unfortunately is still not working. As a test, I also tried installing the previous version, and it is also no longer being detected.

My best guess is that maybe some persistent state somewhere got broken by having multiple versions installed at once? If you let me know where it stores data, I can try completely wiping it manually and see if that solves the problem.

If you open "About this project" in the extension settings, does it show native version 2.12.5?

I documented where some things are stored and how this may be fixed here.
