Thanks for the report, does Windows File Explorer show any errors when coping?

No, file explorer works fine, only file 4 fails to copy and green status is showing immediately Yesterday I installed it on a new system has only os and office, still file 4 does the same thing, status showing immediately completed green task and files not showing to destination

Same thing happening to me. Cleaning up my ai model folders and it crashes Files every time. Forced to go back to Explorer to move these. Image

@RobertAgee This doesn't have anything involving crashing. Please make your own bug report

Oh hey @Josh65-2201 Allow me to make the parallels more explicit by reiterating @auzideals experience

Hi Team Today i tried Files to copy these [large files] into a local drive and a usb external drive, same issue, no backup either local or external drives, using windows file explorer works perfect

in addition, "moving" large files is crashing my Files instance (by virtue of the program halting and can only be ended taskkill)

Given that moving data internally on ssd (likely also for @auzideals) is just a metadata change, should be instantaneous like on windows explorer, which points to an error somewhere during the r/w interaction with NTFS for large files especially (because small files move fine)

however, whether or not you're moving the files to/from a different drive or even just a different partition on the same drive, you'll still have this interaction with your local windows NTFS obviously.

hopefully this helps in your investigation
