Home Drives has no icon
Description
as the title says they have no icon, i can see them in the sidebar, so they do exist, and i am certain that they should on the home page aswell cause otherwise the text is like weirdly to the right side so there is supposed to be something there right?
Steps To Reproduce
open app go to home page
Requirements
i would expect icons to be on the home page, so add the icons or at least make it a toggleable feature if you want em or not

okay so i closed it form tray and reopened, and now the icons are there, so it only happens sometimes, not sure if its on windows startup it fails to load them or its just a bug sometimes, but quite annoying, so would still like it fixed
and also if you close it with clicking the X and reopen it multiple times it starts to fuck up (which might be the main cause of this bug, not sure though) but different bugs can happen like there will be an extra copy of one of your drives on the homepage, where if you click in on it and then go back its gone so like a sudo ghost drive, and sometimes the network drives wont show up, they are still in the sidebar but wont load in the homepage, and also icons can disappear as well with doing this which again might be the cause of the main bug i had above, and only way to fix all of these is closing it from tray and reloading it fully, which takes quite a lot of time.... if you have to do it multiple times a day for people that use file explorer for a lot of things
and sometimes randomly it can also just load for quite a long time like a minute or so and sometimes it just doesn't stop loading which really halts productivity when you can just do nothing while it thinks or close the window and reopen and hope it loads the second time...
Thanks for the report, Is the loading icon in the tab shown when the drive icons are missing? Is the infinite loading happen when you open Files or are you clicking on something else
the loading is separate issue from the missing icons, its just something i noticed after a couple days of using it, just happens randomly in random folders, there is no consistency in when and how it happens, the size of file or place does not seem to have an effect where as the icons and other stuff seems to be cantered around the home page and does not seem to be linked with the loading issue
Please only make different issues for different feedback and can you see if this is an issue in the preview version. https://files.community/download
sorry i haven't gotten around to test but everything went hay wire and my Linux home server bricked itself so have not been able to use my pc for 3 days now, i will test in a few days once i get back up and running again
I have checked it is also present in the preview version, sometimes the sidebar also dont load the like typical desktop, downloads, pictures and stuff where i have to end the process and open again its just small things here and there, i will definitely keep myself in the loop of this app now that i have paid for it and also cause it is very cool, but with its current quirks im gonna have to use the standard file maneger for now until these have been delt with to make the files app as smooth and seamless as possible to work with, i do LOVE the built in file transfer between folders and drives, very nice
Why did you close the issue if it isn't fixed?
Oh sorry I'm new to GitHub really, I thought that if you didn't need me I could close it on my end didn't know that affected you aswell
I don't know exactly how to reproduce this either, but it randomly keeps happening to me as well, to have missing drive icons. Sometimes only network drives are missing icons, sometimes the local drives. Usually if I close the window and open again the icons are back.

Not gonna lie... I have not used the software since then, since i originally thought it was a replacement for File Explorer, instead seems to be a "front" of it, while still relying on it in background, which i guess is just a limitation of windows, i had hoped it was more like Linux where even the fundamental apps can be changed fully
But i hope the bug has been fixed here as it is a great app, just dosent fit my needs anymore unfortunately
I missclixked, was not meant to close the issue
Thanks for the update, Files is separate from Windows File Explorer. It uses Windows features as it is a Windows program to add compatibility with existing programs

Yea think I was just looking for something more "integrated"? I'll probably try the program again at some point, right now my main system is Linux based, so would be a bit hard

I have not seen the behaviour since 4.0.0. Will report back if it ever returns. Thanks!
