Bug: Missing "Give access to" menu item

Open Starstrike opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Description

When right-clicking a drive from "Home", the option to Share (Give access to...) the drive (as in share it to be used with Map Network Drive) is missing. See image for the context menu on a Drive. The image below shows the "Give access to... -> Advanced Sharing" option on a drive in Windows Explorer.

@Josh65-2201 I think that's a little different, this should still be displayed under the "show more options" menu.

Thanks for taking a look at this. #5941 is similar yes. I was looking for something like that as well in the Properties, but ultimately, I believe it should be in the context menu or "show more options" to give access, which would end up going to a Sharing tab in Properties.

Is there any update on this? Recent updates haven't included a mention about this but it's tagged as "ready to build". Because I work with sharing drives for different things, I can't use Files as a replacement.
