Feature: Display OneDrive options in main context menu

Open yaira2 opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

The shell extensions for OneDrive files/folders are shown in the overflow flyout. It would be easier to access them if they were shown in the main menu.

Requirements

  • OneDrive options should get a placeholder in the context menu until the shell extensions finish loading
  • This should apply for other cloud storage locations as well
  • Apply these changes to the sidebar, file views and home page widgets

Files Version

v2.4.40

Windows Version

Windows 11

Which onedrive options is this referring to?

  • Free up space
  • Always keep on device

I believe those are rarely if ever used, please keep them tucked away like they currently are. I would just promote to the root of context menu the "Edit" (in Paint/Photos app) when right clicking an image file. Thanks

@carlosvsilva this only makes a difference for OneDrive files. The "open" and "open with" options are already in the main menu so I'm not sure how relevant the "edit" option really is.
